When boards and beams are cut to length at the sawmill in Järva County, short board ends are left over. We sell these softwood offcuts as an affordable firewood that lights easily and gives plenty of heat. It is a practical choice for households, summer houses and anyone who heats a sauna regularly.

What is in a load?

The firewood consists of board ends 25–40 cm long. It is sold by the tipper-truck load of approximately 15 loose m³ – loose (bulk) volume means the pieces are tipped, not stacked, so a stacked woodpile will take up noticeably less space. The pieces are already short enough for most stoves, so no further cutting is needed.

Price and delivery area

Firewood is sold by quote per load. Delivery is included in the Paide area; delivery further away is possible by agreement and quoted separately. Prices in Estonia include 24% VAT. Firewood in nets or containers is currently not available.

Best uses and storage

  • Sauna stoves – the offcuts burn fast and hot, heating the sauna quickly.
  • Fireplaces and wood stoves – for quick heat and short burns.
  • Kindling – thin pieces are ideal for starting a fire.

Store the wood under cover with good airflow, for example in a woodshed or under a roof with open sides, and keep it off the ground. Wood that has dried well burns cleaner, gives more heat and produces less soot in the chimney. Because softwood offcuts burn quickly, mix them with denser firewood if you want a longer burn.
