  • Mobile water-to-air heaters are mainly used on construction sites connected to a district heating network. The heaters have a 1-inch locking connection (AL) for the incoming water. The upper connection (return) has a locking adapter, an adjustable valve for the circulating water and a bleed screw. The units also have an internal frost-protection thermostat (set to +4 °C), which stops the fan if the air temperature falls too low. An intake air filter protects the heat exchanger fins from dust. The heaters are fitted with wheels for easy movement. Heat is transferred to the discharged air via a heat exchanger with copper tubes and aluminium fins. The heat exchanger is suitable for hot water only (not steam). Designed for use on construction sites, the heaters are of fairly simple and robust construction. These heaters have been standard equipment for rental companies for years and have proven durable under heavy use and ageing. The only spare parts that typically fail are the water coils, and only because the water freezes during the first cold nights.
